PFAS Water Test
Recommended for testing 14 of the most common PFAS (also known as "forever chemicals") in drinking water. PFAS (and related compounds like PFOA and PFOS) are most often associated with industrial waste and from consumer products like GoreTex®, Teflon®, StainMaster® carpets, Scotchgard®, and other flame retardants and non-stick products. While many industries have voluntarily stopped the use of PFAS compounds, the stability and persistence of these compounds make them a lifetime concern–as even extremely low levels have been shown to have deleterious human health effects.
This Tap Score water test package provides all required materials to properly collect and submit a sample for certified laboratory testing. Reported results will include a detailed, quantified analysis of common PFAS compounds down to concentrations below 2 parts per trillion (PPT).
PFAS Water Test
Is this the right test for you?
What our scientists say:
“ This test targets 14 common PFAS compounds. PFAS (ie. forever chemicals) are used in GoreTex®, Teflon®, flame retardants, and non-stick items. PFAS have been detected in public water supplies and have a range of adverse health outcomes. "
This is the right test if you:
- Live near a military base or other location with heavy use of firefighting foam.
- Concerned about nearby industrial contamination or chemical spills.
- Served by a water utility with known contamination issues.
