Haloacetic Acids Water Test

Recommended for targeted testing of haloacetic acids (HAA5) in drinking water. Haloacetic acids are a group of disinfection byproducts which form when chlorine and/or chloramine react with naturally occurring organic matter found in certain water supplies. The EPA reports that drinking water containing haloacetic acids above the regulatory limit of 60 parts per billion (PPB) over many years may lead to health issues with the liver, kidneys, or central nervous system, an increased risk of cancer, as well as harmful effects to fetal growth and development during pregnancy.
This Tap Score water test package provides all required materials to properly collect and submit a sample for certified laboratory testing. Reported results will include detailed, quantified analysis of halogenated acetic acids.
Included in the Extended City Water Test.
